Privacy Policy

In short
QuantScraper has no accounts, no sign-in and no forms, and does not ask you for any personal information. The site sets no cookies of its own. It counts clicks on job listings, anonymously, to show which roles are popular. It shows ads from Google AdSense, and Google and its partners do use cookies to serve them — described below, with how to opt out.
Information stored on your device
Some choices are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit: light or dark mode, the width you drag the filters to, and any roles you save with the bookmark button (each one's title, firm, link and locations, so the Saved page can list them). They stay on your device and are never sent to us. You can remove saved roles on the Saved page, or clear all of it at any time through your browser's settings.
Counting clicks and saves on listings
When you open a job listing, the site adds one to a count for that job and that day, which is how it shows popular and trending roles. When you save or unsave a role with the bookmark button, it likewise adds one to that job's saves or unsaves for the day; saves count towards popular and trending roles too. Those counts are all that is stored: no IP address, no identifier, no cookie, and not your list of saved roles, which stays on your device.
So that one person repeating the same action is counted once, a one-way hash derived from your IP address and browser type is kept in Cloudflare's cache and then expires — after an hour for opening a listing, a day for saving one. It is salted with a secret key, so it cannot be turned back into your address, and it is never written to our database.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google in Google's Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Delivering a page to your browser involves technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and Cloudflare keeps request logs that are used to keep the site secure and working. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
Job listings and links to other sites
Listings are collected from firms' public careers pages and contain information about roles, not about you. Every listing links to the firm's own website, which has its own privacy policy; once you follow a link, that policy applies, not this one.
Children
This site is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices and rights
Since QuantScraper itself holds no personal information about you — click and save counts are per job, not per person — the controls that matter most are the advertising opt-outs above and your browser's cookie settings. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over data held about you; for questions about this policy, see the contact page or email quantscraper.support@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
